C # developer with Design Ambitions

Background
Vizrt develops video-intensive software for managing media at major TV companies around the world. The software is used by photographers to transfer content from a camera to the main system so that journalists after that should be able to create a stunning story, which is finally automatically sent to servers where it is broadcasted to millions of viewers. Our programs make a difference!

We are looking for a candidate with a solid technical background and experience in C # using WPF as the user interface layer.

Also, if you already have experience or a strong desire to learn more about use case and user interface design is a great advantage. It's about how our users as efficiently as possible can benefit from the features we write for them and to make sure we are really building what the end-user needs and wants.

Our office is located in Kista in Stockholm and you will be working here in an open, bright environment with about 80 colleagues. The environment is creative and international; we also have offices in for instance New York, and a few of your programming colleagues are working in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
 

Tasks
You will work with all parts of the development process: design, planning, implementation and testing. We work with Scrum as a development method with self-testing and short release cycles as a basis.

Many of our existing products are written in C++ with MFC as a presentation layer. You will mainly work with the development of new products in C # / WPF to replace them but will also participate in the maintenance of our existing code base.

 

We believe you have the following profile:

• Master of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience of C # development with WPF as the UI layer
• Experience and interest in automated testing is a plus
• It is very meriting to have skills in complex design work, both in writing use case as in the concrete UI design, with tools such as Photoshop, Expression Design, and Illustrator.
• You are creative, resourceful and able to deliver
• Comfortable with oral and written communication in English is necessary as it is our corporate language.
