BVE, 14-16 February 2012, London

Vizrt are exhibiting at the Broadcast Video Expo in London. See Vizrt at booth #G10

Vizrt at BVE – February 14-16 – Earl’s Court 2 – Booth #G10

This year will be Vizrt’s best ever BVE experience.

  • Our booth is 50% bigger than last year – because Vizrt is much bigger than last year!
  • We are using our own tools to promote our own tools!  We are putting our money where our mouth is and – perhaps like you – we are relying on Vizrt quality to attract viewers and Vizrt reliability to make sure it all works for three days solid.  Our booth will be a keyboard-free-zone and we are using interactive touchscreens and tablets to control our graphics and video. At least in the highly unlikely event that there are technical issues at least we won’t have far to go for support…
  • Vizrt software is now even more open to control and plug-in development by our customers.  We believe in efficient workflow of all kinds and we want to help you achieve that if you prefer to make the changes it yourself.  While others may be proprietary and closed, we are opening up and encouraging more third-party development.  We use standard, non-proprietary hardware and to prove our commitment to clever customers, at BVE we will be demoing many of our products using interactive plug-ins developed by a third-party partner, Kenziko

Here are just some of the highlights Vizrt specialises in real-time 3D graphics, asset management and efficient production workflow. On show:

Viz Media Engine - the new way to ingest, manage, edit and publish digital media from one location.  Think of it as a media gateway to all your assets to make them available to your Vizrt storytelling tools before publishing the result to wherever it is needed – broadcast, online or mobile. You can do all of this without needing to move from your seat!

The Viz Media Engine has several packages including a serious core MAM system, as used for Red Bee Media’s channel playout as well as BSkyB and BBC Scotland.  Vizrt Enterprise MAM had a complete makeover last year and is based on an entirely new browser-based REST platform.  The system is faster with many more features and it promises an entirely new user experience.  The REST platform was chosen specifically to allow easy upgrading as well as custom development by our customers.

Interactive 3D graphics - create a complex touchscreen interface in just a day. An amazing claim but true. Come and see the Kenziko interactive plug-ins and how they are used for major international sports programmes and analysis - and we are basing our entire BVE demo display on them. Take a closer look here.

Control videowall and virtual studio graphics using a tablet device.  We can now make just about any surface or wall interactive and drive any sized graphics display with a mobile device. Come and see how it’s done .

Analysis tools - you have collected all the stats, you have links to the data feeds, you have recorded the live sports action but what does it all mean?  Vizrt tools clarify the message your pundits and forecasters predict.  Liberovision is the ideal answer for sports and is now integrated with Viz Engine. Come and see a demo of how Liberovision can throw new light on sports tactics, the accuracy of officials’ decisions, referee’s viewpoints and much more.  Take a look at how the product is integrating nicely with the Viz tools you know well.

Online integration – how well are you repurposing your broadcast assets for mobile and online viewing?  Is your site a one-size-fits all experience or might your online viewers want an optimised result for every device browser?  Could the integrated Vizrt tools you use for broadcast be an asset for your colleagues in online?  Maybe you could try it out for a one-off event microsite? Come and see how it can be done with Vizrt online.

Social Networking – the broadcaster’s friend or foe? You can tap into the real-time power of social networking by capturing and rendering live twitter data as charts or on locator maps.  Set up ad hoc viewer votes across every digital platform, aggregate and mediate them quickly and render the result in real-time.

Going live without SNG.  With all the sporting and royal events we will be working on this year, your live production budget is really going to feel the strain.  If you could deliver a high-quality live two way report, or live coverage of breaking news without sending an ENG crew or an OB unit, wouldn’t that be a big help?

Viz Reporter is our professional broadcast tool for smartphones.  It is simple-to use and delivers top-quality optimised coverage direct to your server, instantly transcoded to your house video format.  Go live in seconds or upload even better quality store-and-forward coverage that you pre-edited on the application.  Alternatively, for fixed locations, we have partnered with Wolftech who have a fantastic HD IP camera that you can control remotely to deliver HD live pictures and audio via IP. We will have a demo installation on the booth.

Services:  Vizrt UK Ltd is preparing a range of cost-effective Trio One CG system rental packages, including hardware, to be available for the summer games.  If you already have the hardware, we also provide software-only rental. This year we are including mobile live smartphone reporting (Viz Reporter) and a fully bundled social networking package.  We can provide specialist engineering services to check over your Vizrt Olympics installation on site and of course creative services if you need help with sporting graphics and interactive tablet or touchscreen control UIs.  It will be first come, first served, so please book early!
