Bjarne Berg announced permanent CEO of vizrt

Mr Yaron Sheinman, Chairman of the Board, gives the reasons for the board decision: “Looking at the overall results from various aspects of the operation such as cost/performance, customer satisfaction, cash position, inter-company relationship, new leads and strategy creation – the achievements of Mr Bjarne Berg are impressive. After accepting the challenge of becoming acting CEO in May, Bjarne Berg has been putting all his energy, experience, wisdom and leadership to the task. We do not think anyone could have done a better job leading the company forward.“

Before becoming CEO of vizrt Mr. Bjarne Berg was chairman of the board following the Peak acquisition. He was co-founder of Peak Broadcast Systems and served as the chairman of its Board of Directors since its inception. Prior to that he was President of News, Sports and Current Affairs at TV2, Norway’s commercial television broadcaster, since its launch in 1992.

Looking forward to vizrt’s business in the coming year, Mr Bjarne Berg commented: “I am very pleased that our company has succeeded with its re-organization and is now in a better shape then ever to meet the challenges of next year. The fact that we have managed to bring down costs substantially and at the same time increase our revenues, as well as secure a backlog, gives hope for the future.“
