beIN SPORT teams with wTVision’s ChannelMaker to launch two US channels
beIN Sport has recently chosen wTVision’s ChannelMaker to launch two new channels for the US market: beIN Sport HD and beIN Sport Ñ. These channels bring all the live game action, news, and analysis of the top soccer leagues around the world.
Together with Imagina US, wTVision’s partner and leading broadcast service provider, wTVision offered an end-to-end service to its client, to build these channels from scratch.
ChannelMaker’s highly modular architecture allows the client to integrate external broadcast technologies to build a flawless workflow to suit their current and future needs. All video source management and routing was made possible through ChannelMaker’s plugins for each individual component in the “project”.
In this project, ChannelMaker interfaces with Vizrt’s Media Asset Management system ( Viz Media Engine), which provides access to all available media and with a K2 video server from Grass Valley, to manage the channel’s Playout tasks.
ChannelMaker monitors each playout’s availability of media and triggers transfer requests between the Viz Media Engine and the K2s as needed.
To switch between video server and live video sources, ChannelMaker controls a Video Router from Snell.
For graphics playout, ChannelMaker is controlling Vizrt's Viz Engine and everything is keyed and mixed in an imagestore from Miranda Master Control.
