The era of analog media is coming to an end. Servers replace huge tape shelves
and storage labels. Viz Video Hub™ is Vizrt’s innovative and cost-effective
Media Asset Management solution that allows you to store the complete
content of your analog media library digitally.
Viz Video Hub builds on proven Ardendo technology. It allows users to easily
access video clips, stills, graphics, and audio clips from a standard PC.
Viz Video Hub is so powerful that it can be used as a standalone production
unit. At the same time, it is flexible enough to be integrated seamlessly
with existing Vizrt graphics solutions.
Media Asset Management the easy way
With Viz Video Hub, Vizrt introduces an intuitive Media Asset Management
system for different user groups within the broadcast industry. New users
can immediately take advantage of the system’s capabilities from their
standard desktop PCs.
Proven technology
Viz Video Hub builds on proven technology. It provides Viz Ardome’s essential
features in a cost-effective, hassle-free solution. Delivered pre-built on
ready-to-run servers, Viz Video Hub is a shortcut to implementing a
competitive and expandable media management system.
Flexibility
Viz Video Hub’s flexibility gives you all the power you need. The solution
comes in three different predefined configurations: Viz Video Hub Base supports
up to 40 hours of DV25 storage and 20 concurrent users, Base+ supports up to
450 hours of storage with 20 concurrent users, while a fully extended Viz
Video Hub Extended supports up to 2000 hours of DV25 storage and 50
concurrent users.
Ingest
Getting Viz Video Hub up and running is as easy as transferring media files
into the system, a simple matter of drag-and-drop. The system monitors
specific folders on the file server. All supported media files that are
dropped into these folders are then automatically and instantly imported and
processed.
Metadata
No matter how advanced a MAM system, it is only as good as the information it
manages. This is why Viz Video Hub is built around an efficient,
industry-standard metadata model that is not dependent on trained video
librarians to keep it updated.
Search
The heart of Viz Video Hub is the powerful search engine. Because all assets
are indexed right away, they are instantly searchable. Both free-text search
and structured search are supported.
Editing
Viz Video Hub comes bundled with two basic editing applications: PreCut and
EasyCut. These tools enable up to 80 concurrent users to simultaneously cut
video and create new clips.
Keyframes
Keyframes provide a quick overview of the content. Viz Video Hub automatically
generates scaled keyframes from every video and image file, as well as
extracting embedded audio from video files.
Low and high resolution files
When new video files are ingested, Viz Video Hub automatically produces two
versions of each transferred video file: a low-resolution version for
browsing and online editing, and a high-resolution version for export and
playout.
Speed
Speed has always been crucial when it comes to content retrieval. Viz Video
Hub rationalizes workflows, minimizes frictional loss, and streamlines
processes.
