Viz Media Logger™ helps keeping track of media files. The support for
descriptive information allows cataloguers, archivists and journalists to
organize files for later reuse.
A key issue in any MAM environment is keeping track of actual media. Viz Media
Logger allows the input of descriptive information for reuse, search and
auditing capabilities. Cataloguers, archivists and journalists are able to
add, edit and delete descriptive information about media files and/or parts
of them, right down to a single frame, through an extensive set of metadata
fields, individually tailored to client specifications. The possibilities
for this metadata collection are endless, with forward looking clients using
the facility to record individual aspects of ingesting news and sports events
to enable instant recalls on demand.
Being similar to other Viz Ardome MAM system components, it is a powerful PC
based application that has a straight forward graphical user interface
giving access to the media as low-resolution video. The application also
displays keyframes, which gives an overview of the video content and
metadata in the selected media clip.
With Viz Media Logger, media is organized in descending levels of clips,
scenes, shots, and finally, keyframes. With individual keyframes building up
the lowest media level, Viz Media Logger gives a convenient overview of clip
content enabling fast and accurate navigation whilst ensuring full metadata
editing perfectly complimenting instant recall through the Viz Ardome MAM
system.
