EVS Epsio software works seamlessly with Viz Arena in a typical live production workflow. The setup includes EVS Epsio, which works in conjunction with the EVS LSM (Live Slow Motion) controller and the EVS XT[2]+ live production server, as well as Vizrt’s Viz Arena software and Viz Engine real-time HD/SD renderer.

EVS Epsio’s tracking engine recognizes the exact position in the field where the graphic will be inserted. The EVS server acts as a buffer, providing a few seconds of delay on the live video. Viz Arena takes the information provided by the tracking engine to insert dynamic, high-quality, 3D advertising content into the video.
The interface between the two systems is an API designed by EVS.

Epsio performs live, image-based tracking of action in a soccer game and share that motion data with a Viz Engine renderer. Viz Engine uses that tracking data to overlay realtime virtual objects, graphical elements, animations, or videos from Viz Arena into the live video as if they were part of the real-world game. The integrated pair can be controlled directly from an EVS LSM remote controller or Viz Arena control interface, and they can work within the live production workflow or downstream in the studio.

EVS is a leading manufacturer of production servers and related broadcasting technologies dedicated to live and studio productions of sports, TV programs and News.
