The In Page plug-in allows a content editor to edit the website's text and images, as well as rearrange the content items directly in the browser. With In Page you can take over a preview from Escenic Content Studio to make the final touches directly in your browser window.
In Page lets users edit content directly on the website, using standard HTML5 features of modern browsers:
Edit text
Using In Page content summaries on any section page may be modified and formatted, with the changes saved directly back to Escenic Content Engine. Content producers may edit using In Page and Escenic Content Studio alternately, since all content is stored in the same repository. If a typo is corrected on the site using In Page, it will also be corrected in the repository.
Text editing is in true WYSIWIG: The look of the website does not change when making changes, and all operations are available using the supplies buttons as well as sensible keyboard shortcuts. Changing a title so it does not break, making sure a lead text fills up the right amount of space, etc is quickly and easily done.
Edit images
When editing images on a section page or within an article, In Page allows you to zoom in and out, and pan the image so that you get precisely what you want out of the source image, while maintaining the aspect ration. As with the text, these changes will also be stored on the source image, and will be instantly updated in Escenic Content Studio.
Because Escenic Content Engine supports multiple representations of the same source image, only the crop coordinates are saved, and different crops (representations) of the same image is not affected. This allows for different crops of the same image on a front/section page and in article view. Using Escenic Content Studio all the different (soft) crops can be efficiently managed in one single view.
Adding content
While working in In Page you can also add more content to your front-pages. Its as easy as dragging and dropping content items directly from Content Studio and into your browser window. You may also drag images directly from your desktop and into In Page for instant use of the material. In the background these images will be imported into Content Engine and be available in Content Studio like any other content item.
In Page will give the front desk an extra edge when it comes to making eye-catching section pages in the shortest time possible.
