Viz World 12.0

Version 12.0 of Viz World Client and Server is a major release. Installation is recommended for new users and users who want to upgrade using the new database and other new features.

Viz World 12.0 is a major release and introduces a new database from Collins Bartholomew and a range of other new features.

  • New database from Collins Bartholomew.

  • The new FirstLook option gives you access to crisis event imagery from DigitalGlobe from inside the Viz World workflow.

  • Better support for online departments, allowing easy APIs into the Viz World server and Viz World data. This can be used to produce branded maps for the website.

  • Atlas plugin now Works on the Globe geometry plugin.

  • Viz World plugin API - see documentation.

  • Map Name Editor allows for quick editing of default and customized user names and languages.

  • Traffic:

    • Improved street labeling.

    • Traffic feed from Inrix.

  • Improved server redundancy options:

    • Priority mechanism for server.

    • New low-cost backup server.

    • Compensation mechanism for dead server licenses.

    • Dual cache option.

    • Static local cache for improved loading time.

  • Multi-language support:

    • Unlimited number of languages that can be edited using the new Map Name Editor.

    • Switching language on the fly from within Viz World Map Editor.
