Important Remarks

EVS Integration with Multicam 12.x

Viz Libero supports integration only with Multicam version 12.05.35 (or newer). Older Multicam 12.x versions have a bug related to HANC timecode insertion and do not work with Viz Libero. This does not affect Multicam 11.x and older.

Bug Fixes

The following bugs have been fixed compared to previous versions of Viz Libero:


  • Video did not update, in some cases, after object Cutout Dialog had been opened.

  • Telestrator Configuration: Dialog size increased when displaying a large overlay.

  • Projects in folders containing Unicode characters did not load correctly.


  • When calibrating a camera on a non-acquired input (e.g. from an EVS video server) the resulting calibration was jittering in some cases.


  • Unset marker point shortcut did not work.

  • Active camera did not always change when clicking camera row.

Objects and Cutout

  • Object Module: Tracks were not always shown.

  • Object Cutout Dialog: Context menu appeared when performing a right-click outside player bounding box.

  • Object Module: Fixed crash when adding new objects to a track.

  • Object Cutout Dialog: Fixed rendering issues after modifying bounding box.

  • Object Cutout: Fixed rendering issues after editing object cutout.

Editor, Tracks, Recorder

  • Tracks list: Tracks were not always selectable.

  • Annotation Recorder: Could not load playlists from older Viz Libero versions.

  • Annotation Recorder: Pauses were erroneously inserted when releasing speed slider.

  • Annotation Recorder: Annotations were shortened to one frame when shuttling backwards during recording.

  • Annotation Recorder: Annotations were not always correctly adjusted when inserting pauses.

  • Annotation Recorder: Improved performance when adding annotations to tracks.

  • Annotation Recorder: Added annotations did not start on current frame.

  • Telestrator Module: Replaced some of the icons.


  • Strobo Run: Outro duration could not always be adjusted.

  • Player Count Tool: Numbering of was not always correct. Removed the 'reset counter on frame change' option from the Telestrator Configuration dialog.

  • Player label tool: Entered player name was ignored when starting a new track.

  • Shot speed tool: Track was not editable.

  • Track modification tool: Video did not always jump to 3D key-frames.

  • Various tools: Video did not jump to next frame when starting a new track.

  • Various tools: Team colors were not always applied.

  • Zone focus effect: 3D key-frames could become all white when entering Telestrator Configuration dialog.

  • Heatmaps: Displayed resolution of data was wrong along the width of the field.

Panorama Stitch

  • Clone brush was not always following mouse position.

Viz Export

  • Exported commands are now compatible with older scenes.

  • Fixed crash when no configuration file existed.

  • Exported .commands file is now UTF-8 conform such that player names and overlay text is rendered correctly on Viz Engine.


Installation Notes for Windows7/x64

Required Files

Updating to Viz Libero 5.7.0 on Win7/x64 systems requires the following items:

  • Bluefish Driver (

  • Viz Libero 5.7.1 installation file (VizLibero.5.7.1.x64.50765.msi)

  • Viz Libero Application Data update file (VizLibero.ApplicationData.20140606.msi)

Driver Requirements

Viz Libero 5.7.x requires the Bluefish driver Installation instructions can be found in the Viz Libero 5.7.1 Release Notes .

Since Viz Libero 5.5.2, we recommend to update the Nvidia graphics driver to:

  • Quadro Card: 320.78

  • GeForce Card: 310.90

The drivers are available from the same download as the installation files.

For information on where the graphic card type can be found, refer to the Viz Libero 5.7.1 Release Notes .

Note: Driver installation will fail if applied to the wrong card type.

Project Compatibility

With Viz Libero 5.7.1 it is possible to open and play back projects that were created using Libero Highlight 5.0 and later. However, editing such projects might lead to corrupt clips. Editing compatibility is only guaranteed backwards to Viz Libero 5.5.x.

Projects that are created using Viz Libero 5.7.1 and later cannot be opened using Libero Highlight (any version).

Laptop Installations / Systems without Bluefish Video Hardware

In order to run Viz Libero, you have to place the two DLL files in the into C:\LV\Highlight.
