Viz Libero 5.7.2

Viz Libero 5.7.2 is a maintenance release of the world’s most advanced sports analysis software.

Improvements and Bug Fixes

Please refer to the What's New in Viz Libero 5.7 document and the Viz Libero User and Administrator Guide for additional information on the new features in Viz Libero 5.7.

Important Remarks

EVS Integration with Multicam 12.x

Viz Libero supports integration only with Multicam version 12.05.35 (or newer). Older Multicam 12.x versions have a bug related to HANC timecode insertion and do not work with Viz Libero. This does not affect Multicam 11.x and older.

Bug Fixes

The following bugs have been fixed compared to the release of Viz Libero 5.7.1:

General

  • Unloading of plug-ins could cause a crash on termination of Viz Libero.

  • Automatic clip acquisition flag was not stored correctly.

Ingest and Playout

  • Resolved missed frames during playout from Telestrator.

  • Clip creation on remote EVS video servers.

  • Unicode folder names caused problems during acquisition.

Calibration

  • Improved camera calibration tracking.

Tracks

  • When changing the team of a player, which was assigned to a track via the context menu, the object-track-link got lost, which caused two position objects to be drawn in Telestrator.

Editor

  • Potential crash when selecting pauses.

Annotations and Rendering

  • Intro of annotation appearing twice for a short time. Fix might adjust pauses to the first field in interlaced video modes.

  • Speed measurements: Fixed missed frames when using on long tracks.

  • Strike Zone: Enabled for soccer. A separate how-to is available (contact your Vizrt Sports sales representative).

  • Overlays: Adjusting min/max properties allowing for larger fonts.

  • Heatmap: can be used without a plugin. Needs a low resolution PNG file as input.

  • Heatmap: Fixed issue with the SwitchOrientation flag.

Export to Viz Engine

  • Unicode folder names caused problems during export to Viz Engine.

  • Export of Shot Speed annotations was erroneous.

Bug Fixes Application Data

  • Fixed issue with Standalone Telestrator’s clip selection screen (background, font).

Driver Requirements

Viz Libero 5.7.x requires the Bluefish driver 5.10.2.24. Installation instructions can be found in the Viz Libero 5.7.2 Release Notes .

Since Viz Libero 5.5.2, we recommend to update the Nvidia graphics driver to:

  • Quadro Card: 320.78

  • GeForce Card: 310.90

The drivers are available from the same download as the installation files.

For information on where the graphic card type can be found, refer to the Viz Libero 5.7.2 Release Notes .

Note: Driver installation will fail if applied to the wrong card type.

Project Compatibility

With Viz Libero 5.7.2 it is possible to open and play back projects that were created using Libero Highlight 5.0 and later. However, editing such projects might lead to corrupt clips. Editing compatibility is only guaranteed backwards to Viz Libero 5.5.x.

Projects that are created using Viz Libero 5.7.2 and later cannot be opened using Libero Highlight (any version).

Laptop Installations / Systems without Bluefish Video Hardware

In order to run Viz Libero, you have to place the two DLL files in the LaptopBluefishDLLs.zip into C:\LV\Highlight.
