Viz Arena 4.4.0

Viz Arena 4.4.0 is the latest release of the world’s most advanced sports analysis software. We strongly recommend upgrading to this version as soon as possible.

Improvements and New Features

Added Live Telestration Mode

  • Some effects support a new “Live Update” setting. When enabled, the effects are displayed on the output while drawing in the Control Application.

  • Added option to always show operator preview on SDI output for disc recording projects.

Effect Changes

  • Split Line/Arrow/Double Arrow in three separate effects. The control application now shows arrow heads as preview.

  • Split Freehand Line/Arrow in two separate effects. The control application now shows an arrow head as preview.

New Sports

  • Added support for (indoor) Kabaddi.

Camera Tracking

  • Improved robustness of lens distortion estimation.

  • Improved camera tracking performance.

Arena Control Application Improvements

  • Added functionality for scaling of selected effects.

  • Added functionality to define presets for the position and scale of selected effects.

  • Added option for 3D bounding box preview visualization of selected effects.

  • Added functionality to modify effect positions via arrow keys.

Viz Engine Integration

  • Shared memory TCP port number is now automatically polled from Viz Engine.

Fixed Issues from Previous Versions

The following issues have been fixed compared to previous versions of Viz Arena:

  • Volleyball default court size had wrong dimensions.

  • Permanent ads were not activated in some cases.

  • Added error feedback when opening empty projects.

Video Card Support

  • Added support for Bluefish Neutron cards.

Viz Engine Compatibility

  • Viz Arena 4.4.0 has been tested and is compatible to Viz Engine 3.7 (official release). Integration with Viz Engine needs to be set up and configured according to the Viz Engine Administrator Guide.

  • In order to use the Scene Browser feature, a Graphic Hub REST service needs to be installed on the corresponding Graphic Hub.

  • Default Viz Engine configuration files are provided with the Viz Arena installation files.
