Viz Artist and Viz Engine 3.9.1

Vizrt is pleased to announce the release of Viz Artist and Engine 3.9.1.

This is mainly a maintenance release with bug fixes, but also introduces new features such as a first iteration release of SMPTE 2110 via the Matrox X.mio3 IP card and a first implementation of a dongle-less deployment of Viz Engine 3.9.1 (and Graphic Hub 3.0.3) in virtualized environments.

Support for running Viz Engine 3.9.1 (and Graphic Hub 3.0.3) in virtualized environments

The following use cases are supported:

  • Post-rendering / render to disk
  • Frameserver / NLE plugin-alike context
  • Embedded into a TriCaster/NDI network with NDI IN/OUT support

Requires a setup of an on-premise License Server on physical HW to serve out licenses to virtualized Viz Engine clients (either within the same network or to WAN accessible cloud based instances).

Requires a new type of license - and applicable for new Viz Engine Sale only - to be obtained through your local Sales representative.

Highlights

  • Viz Engine 3.9.1 (and Graphic Hub 3.0.3) to run in virtualized environments (see above)
  • First iteration release of SMPTE 2110. Due to limitations of the current drivers this implementation is not feature complete, but meant for first test setups and is limited to “OUT”-Support.
  • Introduction of Service Host 1.0.0 in combination with Channel Recorder 1.1.0
  • Improvements to the behavior of media assigned to Superchannels
  • Allow to position virtual windows on the floor

Bug Fixes

  • Light and camera properties will now be updated after data was changed during animation
  • Bugfix concerning DVE Channel placeholders
  • Bugfix concerning animation initialization problems
