Vizrt

The new Datapool version includes a few new plugins, some new features, enhancements and many bug fixes.

It was decided to skip the official release of version 2.8 and jump directly to 2.9.x. It is highly recommended for all 2.8 (unofficial) users to upgrade to the new 2.9.2 version.

Users Guide and Tutorial were updated to include the new features of this version.

Main new features/enhancements:

• Remote container feature enhanced significantly to include options of refering to Parent, Grand-Parent or Great- Grand-Parent containers.
• Added option for Multiple Conversion Tables which are defined in a csv file. The option to use Conversion Table added to all plug-ins.
• Datapool can now be set to work in Local mode; The scope of variables is confined to the scene, for each scene separately.
• A new plug-in DataInRange; To split a range of values into several sub ranges.
• A new plug-in DataMathObject; An enhanced version of the DataMath plug-in, suitable to work in structures/objects environments.
• DataText enhanced with new trimming option to enable using parts of a long text value; defined by delimiters or any other kind of defined character to be used as separator.
• DataTime can now function as DataClock with the added option for offsets.
• Adding any Datapool plug-in to a scene, now adds the Datapool scene plug in automatically.

Important notes:

• The installer now include both Viz2.x & Viz3.x versions of the plug-ins. It will search for previous Datapool versions installed and remove them. Both Viz 2.X & Viz 3.X plug-ins will be installed in the location of the detected Viz folders.
• Version 2.9.0 and higher require an updated version of Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable Package. Most probably that it was previously installed by other Viz products (Viz Engine or MSE..) If not and the Viz Datapool plugins do not load correctly, download vcredist_2005sp1_x86.exe from Microsoft download center or from the VizDatapool folder on the ftp.
• This version is compatible with Viz Version 2.8 pl3 or higher.
