Viz World's latest installment is about extended search capabilities and plugins that allow you to increase the level of interactivity.
Our Viz World Editor (WME) now comes with an extended search capability. Not only can you search the internal data you have bought, but now you can search beyond that reaching the resources of the world wide web. First off in this release is the ability to search Yahoo! for point data that can be seamlessly added to your map just as any other map data.
The following video gives a thorough introduction to WME's search capabilities, ending with a show case of the latest web search feature.
As usual with any Viz World release there are expansions to existing plugins and some new ones. In the Atlas plugin a new option was added that enables you to switch visualized data types in Microsoft Bing maps between satellite imagery, map and both.
In addition the Atlas plugin now supports reading of local multi resolution (aka CMR) files which will allow you to work with the scene without an Ethernet connection. The following video shows how to create a simple interactive Atlas scene with labels and borders for the whole world.
