Vizrt's first ever Certified Viz Trio Operator.
Rob Stewart, West London
Studied BSc, Multimedia Technology and Design with Professional Development at Brunel University London passing with First-Class Honours (2007)
Working Background:
I'm currently working for Wurmsers TV Graphics, a company that is synonymous with graphics for live events and sport, which has it's roots dating back to before the 1950's. I began working for Wurmsers in 2005 as a placement student from my university course, with lots of enthusiasm but little knowledge of the broadcast industry. Towards the end of the year I had a good understanding of Viz products, during my final year at university I built upon these skills and I returned back to Wurmsers on completion of my course to become the lead Viz designer and operator. I'm now approaching the 5 year mark with Wurmsers and still have the same enthusiasm for creating innovative graphics as on day 1.
Wurmsers, and I, first began using the Viz Trio systems in 2008. Previous to this we used in-house software or other character generators, such as the Aston Red, however changes in technology and the power and flexibility of the Trio system made the upgrade an easy choice. We still build and use our own in-house software for data driven applications but we're frequently now pairing these with a Trio system to get the best service out of our Viz Engines through it's built-in intelligence, Transition Logic, and Trio Design.
