Viz Libero 7.1

With this new version, and after the successful launch of the unified IO, Viz Libero now also supports native HDR. In addition, new telestration tools are available as well as more choice for certified hardware. The Dell R7920 is a compact 2 Rack Unit widely used by our customers around the globe and now available to run Viz Libero besides the default HP machines.

Native HDR

Together with all the latest video formats introduced in Version 7, including 4K, 1080p and IP, Viz Libero now supports native HDR, delivering spectacular looking graphics for the whole HDR colour spectrum through the future-proof sports platform. With 7.1, the Viz Libero video render pipeline was extended from 8-bit to 16-bit, allowing Viz Libero to render HDR-native in both 1080p and UHD.

New Telestration tools

The “Custom Tools” feature in Viz Libero enables users to create their unique telestration tools. Inspired by tools developed created by our customers, we added several new effects to the Libero default tool- scene feature-set.

Magnifier Extensions

  • Multiple magnifiers: A limitation of Viz Libero was removed, and now multiple magnifiers can be inserted into an analysis sequence.
  • Shading-around magnifier: A long-desired visualization effect that was added to the properties of the magnifier and allows to shadow the area around the magnifier

Counter Tool: A long-awaited tool by many Viz Libero users that allows counting the number of passes, hits, and more, with a text overlay or in perspective.

Time Measurement-Countdown: The time measurement tool was extended by the option to count down from a user-defined start time (in seconds) instead of the default count-up method.

3D Player model: A 3D player model can be inserted to analysis situations, i.e. a camera angle where not all players are visible, or to display lineups/tactical formations in Libero, i.e. within the virtual stadium view.

Users also started to load in their 3D models or geometries to create a cartoon-branded personalization analysis.

Pressing Arrows: This is a great new addition highlighting if several players press and focus on one player. It can be used either during a pause or as a tracked element when the pressing situation should be dynamically tracked.

In addition, other tools were improved, i.e. player path with an arrow or additional keying settings for 3D arrows and tracks.

Dell R7920 - Certification

Many of our customers already use the compact Dell R7920 2-Rack unit for their various Vizrt Solutions. Answering the growing demand, it has been officially certified for Viz Libero and is now available.

Viz Libero 7.1 also includes various improvements and bug fixes.
