Cost-effective camera control
With this release, direct control of inexpensive and high-quality NDI® PTZ cameras – like the award-winning Vizrt PTZ3 PLUS camera range – is now possible. Viz Mosart can discover these cameras on the network and directly recall presets over the NDI control protocol. This adds further device control options to your automation workflows and makes Viz Mosart even more appealing for smaller, cost-effective productions where these cameras are often used.
More cloud and hybrid architecture flexibility
Expanding upon its existing ability to integrate into cloud and hybrid architectures, Viz Mosart now integrates with Grass Valley AMPP. Starting with the ability to control the clip player, this builds upon Viz Mosart’s native integration with Vizrt’s suite of cloud live production tools, including TriCaster Vectar.
Easy web-based rundown creation
This release introduces the first preview of our brand-new Showmaker web application. It’s designed to make rundowns easy and intuitive to create with drag-and-drop access to Viz Mosart templates, Viz Pilot Edge elements, Viz Flowics overlays, and more. Showmaker is ideal for sports and entertainment format shows where a Newsroom Computer System (NRCS) isn’t in use or would be overkill.
This is a preview of Showmaker, and it is in active development before its first official release. As such, it will be molded by feedback from customers, so please take a look and tell us what you like, don’t like, and what you’d like to see it do for your use case.
Easier adoption of Viz Mosart Web Apps
We’ve made the web server architecture more robust for Viz Mosart Web Apps by enabling automatic switching between main and backup Viz Mosart servers. This adds more resilience to the technology stack and gives more confidence for operators to make use of the functionality that the Web Apps provide.
Better use of cost-effective hardware panels
A new plugin for the Elgato StreamDeck connects it directly to the Viz Mosart server using an API and allows it to be decoupled from the Viz Mosart keyboard shortcuts. As a result, you can operate it independently of the Viz Mosart client application for greater flexibility.
