The Challenge
blinx set out with a bold plan to create content that would stand apart through engagement and immersion, specifically tailored for digital-first audiences. They envisioned going beyond standard tools, planning to adopt advanced production tech typically reserved for broadcasters. But their aim wasn’t to follow in the footsteps of traditional media; they wanted to reimagine the way audiences interact. Their strategy included giving viewers the ability to send virtual gifts and make live changes to streams, setting a new benchmark for what audience participation could mean in the digital world.
The aim was clear but complex – to deliver not just content but a sense of control to the audience. This meant enabling users to influence the story as it unfolded, shifting away from traditional one-way communication.

Achieving this vision demanded more than just creativity. It required a robust technological infrastructure capable of supporting real-time interactivity, seamless multi-platform publishing, and large-scale virtual production. To move from concept to reality, blinx needed a partner with technical expertise and tools to execute their goals.
A Fresh Approach
Vizrt quickly became the perfect partner for blinx, offering a powerful suite of capabilities -from cutting edge augmented reality and virtual reality graphics to cloud-based automation, remote production, and 4K video switching.
Viz Engine 5, seamlessly integrated with Unreal Engine 5, paved the way for blinx to design virtual environments packed with stunning detail – think lifelike lighting, reflections that pop, and backgrounds that move and breathe. The combination of Viz Virtual Studio and Viz Pilot Edge gave blinx’s creative team an arsenal of tools for extended reality and interactive graphics, opening the door to a whole new world of content possibilities. Together, blinx and Vizrt set the stage for imaginative storytelling like never before.
“We went extreme with this one – allowing the users to change the background in real time”, an excited Fadi explains.
Vizrt’s tools for remote, cloud-based production brought a major advantage to blinx. With Viz Mosart and TriCaster Vectar, they can run operations from a single device, making teamwork across locations effortless. “Everything here runs on studio automation through Viz Mosart. Integrated with the Dina newsroom computer system (NRCS) for rundowns, this creats a smooth workflow from newsroom to production. And it’s all done in the cloud with TriCaster Vectar for 4K video switching. The director can be in London, the producer in Bergen, and it still works perfectly,” explained Fadi Radi. Viz Multiplay added another layer of convenience, letting the same director handle graphics, templates, and live feeds for video wall playout from just one interface, which the team saw as a game-changer.
Built on an IP-based infrastructure using NDI®, the system was designed for scalability and flexibility. Cost was a major factor too – since an SDI equivalent of the same setup would’ve cost blinx tenfold. This freed up resources to invest in top talent, boosting creativity and output. Plus, with Vizrt’s NDI-native tools, setup was quick, simple, and easy to manage. The NDI standard also allowed the team to gather more user data, which, paired with AI tools, helped them personalize the viewer experience even further.
