Viz One consists of a central server-based media asset management (MAM) system that can be hosted or locally integrated with the broadcast infrastructure in your facility. Built around extensive APIs, the system is easily adapted to your workflow. The system provides a lightweight web browser-based interface giving users access to content based on individual rights and permissions. Ingest, search, cut, group, share, repurpose and deliver content to both your control room and online platforms - from a normal desktop or laptop.
Whether being a journalist, producer, archivist, operator or editor, Viz One gives you greater control over your own content.
Viz One includes tools to acquire media from files, cameras, mobile phones, SDI and IP sources. As content is brought in, the system generates frame-accurate proxy that can be accessed from any desktop. Media that is to be published for delivery to online is encoded to a wide number of formats and sizes to ensure we achieve the best video playback quality that each target device is capable of. Vizrt has taken on this challenge by using device detection to assign an appropriate scale and design for the graphics without altering the message. A gateway to all your content
Viz One is a full MAM system or a gateway to existing MAM solutions. As a gateway, the editorial staff can search for all their assets through the Viz One interface in their Newsroom Control system. Viz One recognizes all the content stored in existing MAM systems and retrieves that content through search results. This allows the editorial staff to have access to all video content and graphics in a single interface to distribute on-air, online and mobile devices.
Vizrt’s file-based video workflow solution is fully scalable allowing for multiple Viz One server installations. Search content and replicate media from multiple geographic locations, giving the editorial staffs in the hub and satellite offices of large station groups access to all their content.
The Harvester - Bridging studio and remote
Viz Libero, Viz Engine, and Viz One in the broadcast center. The Harvester allows events to be logged of a sport game together with the desired camera angles – from the stands, the studio, or from home using a tablet or mobile device. Multi-angle footage will then be instantly encoded and transferred to the studio where it is directly ingested into Viz Libero for rapid and synchronized processing of 3D analysis. Multi-angle data can also be smoothly used by other Vizrt applications, such as Viz Engine for enhanced, multi-angle interactive highlights shows, or for archiving the multi-angle data with Viz One. As a one-box solution in a fully automatic workflow, the Harvester can be easily integrated into any existing OB truck.
Order Management tracks requests of media assets from editorial staff and the delivery of media assets by the creative staff. Built on top of Viz Pilot and Viz One, the system uses plug-in and API architectures and extends and integrates these tools into a central order management system accessible via both a web interface and directly from inside the newsroom control system (NRCS).
Logger is a cataloguing tool to organize and add descriptive time-based information to assets in Viz One. The tool is used by loggers, cataloguers, archivists and journalists to add a wide number of different types of information such as archive metadata, compliance notes, edit notes, qc notes, scripts, highlights and subclipping. The Capture utility is a tool for controlling a Video Tape Recorder (VTR) via the Sony 9-pin protocol and video server via VDCP (or particular server specific protocol) to digitize incoming video material. Integration with other Vizrt software
Viz One is usually the core of the system and everything else speaks to it. The integration of Viz One and the various other Vizrt products is a fundamental part of the design. This integration enables advanced workflows, such as:
- Ingest media via Viz Reporter
- Cut and adjust with Easycut
- Add a graphics overlay designed in Viz Trio
- Publish the result on the web, using Escenic Content Engine together with a map from Viz World
- Viz One Delivery Core (previously named Viz Mobilize) transcodes the media to dozens of different formats for output to different kinds of mobile devices and web platforms.
- Use the media in a TV broadcast by adding it to a playlist in Viz Pilot. The media is transferred to the specified playout servers and Viz One ensures that the file is available during the whole scheduled broadcast.
