“We went extreme with this one – allowing the users to change the background in real time”, an excited Fadi explains.
Vizrt’s tools for remote, cloud-based production brought a major advantage to blinx. With Viz Mosart and TriCaster Vectar, they can run operations from a single device, making teamwork across locations effortless. “Everything here runs on studio automation through Viz Mosart. Integrated with the Dina newsroom computer system (NRCS) for rundowns, this creats a smooth workflow from newsroom to production. And it’s all done in the cloud with TriCaster Vectar for 4K video switching. The director can be in London, the producer in Bergen, and it still works perfectly,” explained Fadi Radi. Viz Multiplay added another layer of convenience, letting the same director handle graphics, templates, and live feeds for video wall playout from just one interface, which the team saw as a game-changer.
Built on an IP-based infrastructure using NDI®, the system was designed for scalability and flexibility. Cost was a major factor too – since an SDI equivalent of the same setup would’ve cost blinx tenfold. This freed up resources to invest in top talent, boosting creativity and output. Plus, with Vizrt’s NDI-native tools, setup was quick, simple, and easy to manage. The NDI standard also allowed the team to gather more user data, which, paired with AI tools, helped them personalize the viewer experience even further.
