Jonathan Kemp is a Design Director at CNN in Atlanta, Georgia. He has been an integral part to the development of all of the network’s Vizrt graphics production and systems.
Jonathan graduated from the University of Mississippi with a BFA in business design. He then spent two years in the Savannah College of Art and Design’s masters program for computer art. Jonathan worked at Design EFX and Crawford Digital for 5 years in 3D animation making special effects for tv commercials and networks with clients like Coca-Cola, Panasonic, TNT and TBS. He then joined the ranks at CNN using Maya to create broadcast graphics and 3D explainer animations. Jonathan started using Vizrt products in 2003 at CNN. Since then he has designed and created lower thirds, ticker systems, election systems, interactive graphics and virtual graphics.
