Alexandru Cristian Popescu

Alexandru Cristian Popescu is 26 years old and lives in Bucharest, Romania. He has a bachelor degree in Computer Science and a masters degree in Artificial Intelligence, both from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest. The years he spent there helped him develop great analytical thinking skills, as well as vast programming knowledge.
“I am currently working at PROTV (part of CME) as Vizrt Graphic Designer (trying to get as much as possible out of the endless possibilities of the Vizrt systems). I started working there in 2008 as a Computer Graphic Artist for the news department. At that time we were using Viz 2.8 and it was a good place to start, but it really got me hooked when we upgraded to Viz 3.2 and subsequently 3.3. That is when I started learning more about the Vizrt environment, writing scripts (possibly the most powerful feature of Viz 3) and using Viz World Maps / Curious Maps.
In January 2012 I advanced to my current position where I have expanded my knowledge about the range of Vizrt products. I have been using Viz Weather, Viz Ticker (for which I have also developed a web management system), Multichannel, I have built complex Viz Trio interfaces using Template Wizard and I have written third party applications to enhance the power of Viz Artist.
Working with Viz has been both fun and rewarding, and everyday I am learning new ways it can be used.”
