Concacaf produces game-changing match coverage with Viz Flowics

Concacaf has adopted Viz Flowics, Vizrt’s HTML5 graphics creation and rendering engine, for streamlined, and consistent cloud production workflows in a move to centralize and simplify the match coverage creation, starting with the recent Men’s Under-17 Championship.

Concacaf is the governing football body for North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. The body is one of FIFA’s six continental confederations. Previously, Concacaf had produced coverage for multiple games in different countries with different production providers due to the vast size of the region it covers.

Viz Flowics made its Concacaf debut earlier this year at the Men’s Under-17 Championship (CMU17) in Guatemala, where the platform was used to create score bugs, lower thirds, and full-screen graphics throughout the tournament. The data integration was facilitated by the Data Factory Connector, one of the dozens of native data integrations in Viz Data Connectors. Unique to Viz Flowics, Viz Data Connectors provides seamless data integration from real-time sources, eliminating the need to build custom solutions to input data into graphics.

The cloud solution is crucial for Concacaf, providing teams with access to a centralized graphics system to display match scores, player data, free kicks, and corners in real-time – as well as a simplified graphics deployment workflow to maintain consistency across all live programming. The technology migration also offers multilingual support for the organization which predominantly operates in English and Spanish.

“Viz Flowics offers Concacaf a unified cloud-native solution, empowering the implementation of its brand and graphics requirements within a single platform. With universal access for all producers through any browser, location becomes irrelevant—whether in Guatemala, Canada, or Honduras, they can all access the same branded graphics, streamlining time, costs, and logistical efforts,”

Gabriel Baños, Co-founder of Flowics
