It's an iPad age

2010-09-15 05:47 CEST

So much to see. So little time. It's never easy being a visitor at one of the large tradeshows. With new products and technologies at literally every corner you have to set priorities. Which companies and ideas will define the future of broadcasting? What new solutions will change the way you work?

One of the big hits at IBC is the new Viz Anchor application for the iPad. Vizrt OCTO Steinar Søreide gives us a small demo:

There's no doubt that the Internet has become mobile. And Vizrt is well-prepared to provide the best applications to broadcasters and publishers who take the step into the mobile future.

Let's take Vizrt's acquisition of Adactus for example. The company is responsible for our new Viz Mobilize platform that provides a complete workflow for online video publishing. With state of the art transcoding performance mobile operators, broadcasters and online media can now generate new revenue-chains on new platforms.

And there's also the Escenic Mobile Expansion. With hundreds of multimedia enabled devices entering the market every single day, it's impossible for publishers to deploy a one-size-fits-all content approach to mobile publishing. So what's the Vizrt solution? Simply providing a template based environment that contains policy information, indicating how content should be displayed on any given device. It is a logical architecture that provides both scalability and flexibility, and you are welcome to see it at work at our booth.
